September 2016

September:
  • New stumps in backyard: the neighbours behind our house had to cut down a sick tree, and in the process created many huge round pieces that begged to be used as tables and chairs.  Wrangling them to our house was a bit of a challenge.
  • More visiting the land: we spent a lot of time at the river this summer.
  • Charlie's third birthday: Charlie enjoyed a birthday with the entire in-town family.
  • Camping: Grandma and Grandpa engineered a trip to Killbear provincial park, which the kids loved.  Highlights included canoeing to Mermaid Island, hiking, playing on the sandy beach, swimming, seeing deer, and not being eaten by a single bear.
  • Charlie haircut: this shouldn't be milestone, but we let his hair get kind of long so the haircuts end up producing a dramatic change in his look.
  • Gramma's birthday: Grandma Jean's birthday party was a good reason for the whole in-town family to get together and enjoy the summer weather.

Oh, so that's the giant bug that crawled on Anne.
