The latest in Anne news:
- Today Anne spontaneously started calling me Mommy, rather than Mama.
- Anne is becoming a parrot, repeating things that she doesn't understand or has never heard before. As a funny example, the other day I was carrying her for a while and I said, "My goodness, my arms are going to fall off!" For the next half hour, Anne kept saying, "Mama. Arms. Off."
- A couple of days ago Anne was playing at the bottom of the stairs and managed to fall down the last stair or two, somehow hurting her foot in the process. We poked and prodded her foot, but were unable to find the sore spot, however Anne was unable to put any weight on it without getting quite upset. I suspect she mildly twisted the ankle. It wasn't until partway through the next morning that she managed to start walking on it again, and then only with a very pathetic limp. Fortunately, it seems to be getting better and she is hardly limping at all today.
- Anne is an excellent counter now. She understands one and two and can count anything as long as there are no more than two of them. :) She gets very excited when she sees two dogs or two babies or two buses (these are a few of her favourite things).
- I was at the mall with Anne the other day and Santa was there, so I took her to have her photo taken. She had a lot of fun waiting in the line with the other kids, however she didn't much like the idea of being up there with just Santa. See photos below.
- Yesterday, Jeff's work had a kids Christmas party. We took Anne and she had her face painted like a kitty. It was ridiculously adorable. See photos below.
- Anne LOVES play dough.
My friend Pam convinced me to take a children's photography workshop with her the other week. It has renewed my interest in taking photos photos of my kid (as if that was lacking), so for better or for worse I will probably have more photo updates than I have in the past few months.

| I was tiding up the living room and I looked over to see a smiley face peering in at the window. This helium baloon-on-a-stick seems to have blown away from somebody and gotten snagged in my garden. Anne has had a lot of fun with it. |
